Bupa goes green this summer with natural repellent DIY

There are many ways to celebrate a green and eco-friendly summer. As temperatures soar in Hong Kong with record-breaking heat this year, some natural remedies may help relieve insect nuisances and bring comfort to all in a healthy and environmental-friendly manner.
Bupa and Quality HealthCare joined together in a Mosquito Repellent Workshop with 30 elderly friends and carers from the North District. This session organised by HKYWCA featured organic mosquito repelling bar, mosquito spray and soap DIY.
Our volunteers brought their children and engaged with elderly people, as different generations gathered together and had some great fun by helping each other hand-make their own repellents.
It is especially rewarding to see the little things we give back to the community are bringing simple happiness to all.
The event is in celebration of World Environment Day this year, and also a kick-off of a series of Bupa’s collaborations with HKYWCA to continue promote caring for the neighborhood and the environment, and to positively impact the community and people around us.
