First insurer in Hong Kong to offer both health insurance and wholly owned health services

Bupa Hong Kong, the leading health insurance specialist, announces today a network of six Bupa Medical Centres and Bupa Dental Centres, which marks Hong Kong's first insurer-owned medical facilities. Spanned across Central, Shatin, Quarry Bay, Admiralty and Tseung Kwan O, these Bupa wholly owned centres1 represent a unique model that underscores Bupa’s leading position in curating a holistic healthcare ecosystem, benefiting members with a diverse range of healthcare services beyond insurance protection.
The Bupa Medical Centres (“BMC”) deliver a premium experience to Bupa members with advanced equipment and medical services, as well as personalised support care. With these centres located in prime business and residential neighbourhoods, members can enjoy easy access to medical facilities and services. Leveraging the medical expertise of our local healthcare services arm, Quality HealthCare, the Hong Kong BMCs offer:
- Integrated outpatient consultations including general practice and multiple specialties
- Hospital-grade facilities for day surgical procedures, physiotherapy, diagnostics and imaging, and health check-ups
- Access to Bupa’s Direct Access for You (DAY) programmes to enjoy efficient and convenient day surgeries or treatments such as endoscopy2
- New Premium Service Booking Hotline to help members check for their network eligibility, provide Bupa medical and dental centre choices, and make appointments with the centres
- Exclusive end-to-end support offered by onsite Bupa service assistants, from checking the medical scheme coverage, applying for pre-authorisation as needed, arranging follow-up consultations, treatments or surgeries, hospitalisation, and assisting with claim submissions
- Cashless treatment for eligible members holding a Bupa medical card
- Dedicated waiting areas and servicing counters for Bupa members
