Understanding Auricular Acupressure Treatment

“Ear, gathering point of all meridians.” Auricular acupressure involves stimulating the acupuncture points located on the auricle (outer ear) through pressing the ear seeds patches. This can help promoting the circulation of meridian’s qi and regulating the functions of internal organs (Zang-fu), thereby achieving the effects of disease prevention and treatment. This non-invasive and convenient treatment can alleviate pain, digestive issues, insomnia, aid in smoking and alcohol cessation, and manage weight.
What are ear points?
Ear points refer to the special acupuncture points located on the auricle (outer ear), also known as reaction points or trigger points. The relationship between the ear points and our internal organs are closely related.

When symptoms happen, the corresponding ear points will also show some local reactions such as tenderness, nodules, or discoloration. Therefore, these reaction points can not only be used as a reference for disease diagnosis, through the stimulation of the corresponding ear points can also be used to regulate the function of Zang-fu and meridians.

What are ear seeds patches?
These patches are small adhesive patches with a tiny and hard object (usually cowherb seeds) on the back, which allow patients to easily apply pressure and stimulation on the ear points.

Applications:
The applications of auricular acupressure treatment are extensive and include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
  • Pain Relief: Headaches, lower back pain, joint pain.
  • Digestive Issues: Stomachache, bloating, constipation.
  • Menstrual Discomfort: Menstrual pain, premenstrual syndrome.
  • Insomnia: Improve sleeping quality, reduce insomnia symptoms.
  • Weight Management: Control appetite, promote weight loss.
  • Smoking and Alcohol Cessation: Reduce dependence, aid in quitting.

Treatment Duration: Recommended for individuals aged 3 and above. Treatment duration and frequency depend on personal conditions, acupressure typically lasting a few seconds to a few minutes, multiple times a day.

Promotion for Blua Health user’s first TCM appointment booked through “eBooking” function (the “Promotion”)

Terms & Conditions
  1. The Promotion is offered by Horizon Health and Care Limited (“Blua Health”) and valid from today until 31st December 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
  2. The Promotion Offer is only available to any Blua Health members who have successfully made their first Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consultation appointment through the “eBooking” function of Blua Health app and received TCM consultation at such booked time and location (the “Customers”) during the Promotion Period. They will be entitled to receive one-time auricular acupressure treatment (the “Treatment”) at the time of the same TCM consultation. Customers must complete the Treatment together with the TCM consultation service, otherwise the Treatment will be deemed to have expired and void.
  3. Customers are required to use the “eBooking” function on the Blua Health Mobile App to book the TCM consultation service and present the Blua Health booking confirmation message on the day of the appointment for verification.
  4. The Treatment is only available at the designated Chinese Medicine centres with the service provided by a service provider. Please click here for details.
  5. The Treatment will be conducted under the guidance of a registered TCM practitioner of a service provider. A pre-treatment diagnosis would be carried out to exclude any contraindications of the auricular acupressure treatment. No refund, compensation or substituted services will be available if the Customer is diagnosed not suitable for the Treatment. Service Provider has the absolute right to decide whether to provide the Treatment of the Customer. In the event that the service provider is unable to provide the Treatment to the Customer due to whatever reason, Blua Health shall not be held responsible.
  6. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion offers.
  7. Blua Health reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any person who in Blua Health’s reasonable opinion has breached any of these terms and conditions or has acted suspiciously in any way. Blua Health reserves the right of final decision for any person’s entitlement to the Promotion.
  8. The Promotion is not exchangeable, transferable, returnable or redeemable for cash or other goods.
  9. Blua Health reserves the right to replace the Promotion with a different product or service and the value of any such replacement may be different from the value of the Promotion.
  10. Blua Health is not the supplier of the TCM consultation, the Treatment and related services and Blua Health:
    • makes no representations and warranties of any kind, either express or implied, by fact or in law in relation to the quality or suitability of the TCM consultation, the Treatment and related services and service provided by the service provider;
    • is not responsible for any acts and/or omissions of the service provider, their respective employees, agents, servants or representatives; and
    • to the extent permitted by law, will accept no responsibility or liability under tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, for death or personal injury, loss, damage, costs or expenses howsoever occasioned, sustained or suffered, as a result of or in connection with receiving the TCM consultation, the Treatment and related services.
  11. Any additional cost incurred in connection receiving the TCM consultation, the Treatment and related services shall be borne by the Customers.
  12. The TCM consultation, the Treatment and related services may be subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the service provider.
  13. By participating in this Promotion, you hereby agree, understand, accept the terms and conditions of this Promotion. Blua Health reserves the right to cancel or terminate this Promotion (in whole or in part) or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
